There is no doubt that the friendly formality of a red-coated Toastmaster can make all the difference to a Wedding Reception, Corporate Event or any Special Occasion, be it a full sit-down meal, a seated buffet or a finger buffet and whether it is to take place at an hotel or banqueting suite, in a public or private hall or in a marquee at home.
The presence of a redcoated Toastmaster will mean that the Host & Hostess are relieved of the burden of worry about "Who Does What - and When?"
They are able to relax and enjoy their special day with their guests feeling confident that all will run smoothly in the capable hands of a professional who has officiated at dozens, if not hundreds, of similar functions. He has a wealth of experience in helping to ensure events, large or small, run
smoothly.

What then, does the Toastmaster do? His duties include the following:
He will liaise and co-operate with the Banqueting Manager or Caterer; the video crew, the photographer and musicians or DJ to ensure that each is able to give of their very best.
He arranges the Reception line in the correct order and in the most suitable position to receive the guests.
He clearly announces the name of each guest to the Host.
He announces the Bride and Groom, escorts them to the top table and announces Grace before the meal.
He arranges and announces the cutting of the Wedding Cake.
He "Prays Silence" for, and announces, the Speeches and Toasts.
He makes any other announcements, which may be required; relays messages and copes with the unexpected in a calm and capable manner.
He is content to ensure that the Host and Hostess, Bride and Groom and their guests have his undivided attention throughout the day.
